Accreditation is the confirmation by the relevant authority that an organization operates according to national and international technical criteria recognized by the technical accreditation bodies. The TS EN ISO 15189 standard is an accreditation standard that specifies the requirements for the quality and competence of medical laboratories.
In our country, TÜRKAK (Turkish Accreditation Agency) is the recognized authority responsible for overseeing the TS EN ISO 15189 standard. Wellcare Laboratories Ltd uses and implements the internationally recognized TS EN ISO 15189 standard as a reference for the purpose of managing and improving its quality management system.
Wellcare Laboratories Ltd embarked on its accreditation journey in 2021 and, after completing the accreditation requirements, received the TSE EN ISO 15189 accreditation certificate in 2022. We are committed to continuously improving our services and take measures to prevent potential issues. Our goal is to design laboratory processes optimally to report test results to our patients with the highest possible accuracy. We regularly implement quality control and calibration programs and use inter-laboratory comparison tools.

Wellcare Laboratories (Miracle Hospital Medical Analysis Laboratory) is the first and only medical analysis laboratory in North Cyprus's Nicosia region to receive ISO 15189 accreditation. Additionally, our laboratory at Medicalport Hospital in Kyrenia has also obtained ISO 15189 accreditation.
